Private Yoga Classes

One to one tuition available at your home or workplace or at one of Jane’s yoga venues to suit you.

You might choose a one off class to improve technique or because yoga is completely new to you and you want to try it out before you attend a group class.

You might want one to one tuition regularly because you prefer the tailored individual attention.

Maybe you have a specific injury or condition that means you would like to understand how to practice yoga safely before joining a class.

Whatever the reason, you can discuss your requirements with Jane and arrange a time to suit you.

The cost of an hour’s private tuition is usually £35 but if an expensive venue needs to be hired, or if you live far away from Jane’s usual venues, it may be a little more.

Children’s Yoga

children's yogaWildly different to adult yoga classes!

The children’s classes can be in two styles. One involves fun adventure stories acted out using yoga movements to represent the various characters, animals and objects.

The other way to engage the children is to use skillfully designed games which make learning yoga postures enjoyable and easy.

With the stories, children might fly on a magic carpet, surf a wave or float off in a hot air balloon. They might encounter pirates, aliens or sea creatures, maybe they’ll swim with sharks or visit distant galaxies.

During games they might be asked to try traditional activities such as ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ or ‘Grandmother’s footsteps’, or maybe something new and exciting like human skittles!

In all classes, children also learn how to find peace and calm using breathing, meditation and relaxaxtion techniques that are specifically designed to be easy for children to access.

Classes last for half an hour with time for a drink and a biscuit or piece of fruit afterwards.

Refreshments are provided for adults too, you can relax with a drink while your children enjoy the class, or join in!

    Fertility Yoga

In Fertility yoga the aim is to nurture a healthy womb. A variety of yoga techniques are used to help women cope with the stress associated with uncertainties around this time and to increase the ability to self-nurture in preparation for motherhood.  You may be planning to conceive or perhaps you have been trying to have a baby for some time. The Birthlight Fertility classes are designed to help you to relax and enhance your pelvic health.  The focus is on creating space and ease and on optimising blood flow to muscles and connective tissues in the lower pelvis.

Deep relaxation is included in classes because reducing stress is an important factor in boosting the functions of the reproductive system.

Fertility Yoga is offered as a private one to one class (or with both partners present). This can be in your own home, or at one of Jane’s recommended yoga venues.

An hour of private tuition costs £35 with possible extra travel or room hire expenses depending on location.
